NHS staff has adopted a plan for teaching reading, writing, and math across the curriculum. Teachers shall include all of these areas in their daily lesson plans including the affective area. This is part of our Apache Self Improvement Program through North Central Accreditation.

TEACHER GRADING POLICY

Each teacher must submit a copy of his individual grading policy to the Principal at the beginning of the year. Student are to be informed of this policy at the beginning of the year. Having a copy of the grading policy will help us to explain reasons for grades to parents.

TEACHER ASSERTIVE DISCIPLINE

Teachers must submit a copy of their individual classroom discipline plan to the PrincipalÕs Office for approval and for supporting teachers during disciplinary problems by August 28, 1999.

Teachers should share their discipline policy with students at the beginning of school. It is also suggested that teachers request student assistance when compiling policy.
